Our Story
Words of the founder.
My name is Manase Nkomo, the founder and Chief Executive Officer at Birdie Bakes. I started this beautiful business off during a pandemic and it has honestly worked out better than I could have expected. We have been operating for just over a year and have served over 100 people during this short period of time, which has been nothing short of an honour. I love cakes but more than that I LOVE BAKING! I have learned so many things about real-life through this craft one of the lessons being: Nothing works out unless you are calm. I am working on crafting Birdie Bakes into a fruitful empire which will still be operational even 100 years from now, employing thousands of South Africans, and I am glad that you as my client are here to make this dream possible for me with your support.
Delivery & Collection
Delivery is available for areas within Johannesburg and delivery prices may vary according to the distance from ourselves to the client. If you are interested in having your order delivered please do let us know. Please note that you also have the option to collect your order personally.
Payment Info
In order to secure an order a 50% deposit is required. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit card payments upon collection therefore, it is suggested that you bring enough cash or make the complete payment via EFT into our bank account. If you wish for your order to be delivered, you will be required to pay both the order as well as delivery fee via EFT.
